Review and locked evidence

Editing a workspace and preserving a work record serve different purposes. Locking protects the source behind an update.

Before locking

Use the deadline shown on the item. Check text, author, destination, visibility and attachments while changes are permitted. Dev Monitor has a six-hour review window; Save and lock commits retained work early.

After locking

Locked posts, captured activity and attached evidence cannot be edited/deleted through normal controls. A preserved Flowdoc is read only; a preserved board group retains its source and connections. Permitted reading, scrolling and evidence inspection remain available.

Correct or continue

Create a new update or editable copy and explain the correction. Do not rewrite evidence under an old summary. An earlier failure remains a failure until subsequent evidence shows its resolution.

Locking is not public sharing

Preserving a record does not publish it or grant anyone new access. Thread, attachment and source permissions still apply. Device cleanup does not remove already preserved cloud evidence.
