Connection and import problems
The account, installation, import and interpretation can have different states.
| Problem | Try this |
|---|---|
| Repository missing | Check GitHub identity, App installation and selected repositories. Private organization repositories may need administrator approval. Refresh the available repository list afterward. |
| Cannot add/remove a repository | Check thread collaboration and repository-management permission. Ask an authorized owner/admin if needed. |
| Repository says Assigned | It is already attached to another thread. Open that thread and ask an authorized collaborator to remove the connection before reassigning it. Do not create a second connection to bypass this restriction. |
| New commits missing | Confirm the linked repository and UTC date, refresh once and inspect the sync warning. Import and interpretation can complete separately. |
| Older day missing | Use Load earlier days. Check whether history has finished importing; a recent day does not prove all old history was imported. |
| Activity without an explanation | Read recorded activity and processing status. A pending interpretation is not a reason to repeatedly reconnect. |
| Unmatched contributor | Verify their connected GitHub identity. An unmatched actor must not automatically be credited as a GRID contributor. |
| App removed / repository transferred | Check current repository owner/name and App permissions, then refresh the connection. Preserve original source links when reporting attribution. |
Local capture is complementary
GitHub does not supply every edit or terminal output between commits. Enable the intended local project in Dev Monitor. Neither connection proves every file or action was recorded.
Report a sync issue
Include thread link, repository full name, expected event time/time zone, a safely shareable event link and the visible warning. Do not send access tokens or private repository contents in an ordinary support message.
